This zine is about how to bake one of my apple pies. This project very quickly became very personal because I really enjoy baking for my loved ones. I implemented some people I know into the characters, which are basically based of the ingredients used. For e.g. the guy on the far end side of the illustration reminds me of my uncle because of his "cool but strange uncle" vibe. Next to him is an overprotective mother that you do not want to begin to mess with. On the far right we see the relative that wants nothing to do with what ever is going on, and there's always that one child that ate too much sugar and is running all over the place.
But this is why I love baking, not only so I can eat the food (which mind you is a very important reason) but because it brings your loved ones together, hence "the sweet moments we share!"
